  1. Who sponsors the Conference?
    DALINC (Dubuque Area Library Information Consortium) is the sponsor of this event.  More information can be found here.

  2. Is the program available?
    View the program.

  3. Did the presentation proposals go through a peer review process?
    Yes, they went through a blind peer review process. The reviewers were the members of the Planning Committee of this conference.

  4. Will I have a live internet connection in my presentation area?                                                 
    The presentation sessions will have a high-speed connection.

  5. Who do I contact to inquire about equipment or aids for my presentation? If so, how do I apply for it?

  6. As a presenter, is there a discount for attending the conference? If so, how is this applied?
    Yes, the presenter fee is $55. If you are a presenter, mark "$55.00 presenter" in the Conference Registration Fees section of the form and send that amount with your registration form.

  7. How do I know if my registration was received?
    Registrants are notified by email upon the receipt of their registration. If you did not receive this email, verify your registration by contacting Susan Ebertz (sebertz@wartburgseminary.edu or 563-589-0265).

  8. How do I register after the deadline?
    To register after the deadline, submit the Registration Form.  The cost will be $85.00  If you have any questions, contact Susan Ebertz (sebertz@wartburgseminary.edu or 563-589-0265).  To register on the day of the symposium, please go to the Registration Desk in the Alumni Campus Center.

  9. What is your policy on cancellations?
    Substitutions are welcome at any time, just let Joyce Meldrem (563-588-7164) know before 1:00 p.m. on April 5th. However, any cancellations must be formally made via e-mail (joyce.meldrem@loras.edu) to Joyce by 5:00 p.m. on April 1st. Cancellations will result in a refund of the fee minus $15.00 for the food (since it will already have been ordered).

  10. Where can I park?
    Parking is available on the parking lot on the corner of Loras Blvd. and Alta Vista St.  Handicap parking is available in the Cox Street Parking Lot near the Alumni Campus Center. Please see the Loras map.

  11. What if I get a parking ticket?
    If you park in the designated parking lot at the corner of Loras Boulevard and Alta Vista, you won't get a parking ticket. If you park elsewhere and get a ticket, be sure to give it to one of the Loras College attendees at the conference or send it to Joyce Meldrem, Loras College Library, 1450 Alta Vista, Dubuque, IA 52001.

  12. How do I get from the parking lot to the Alumni Campus Center (ACC)?
    You can walk on the sidewalk along Loras Boulevard past Keane Hall, the Academic Resource Center (Library) and then to the Alumni Campus Center. You can also walk on the sidewalk to the left of Keane Hall (big building across from the parking lot) and down through campus - again, past the Academic Resource Center and then on to the Alumni Campus Center.  Here is a Loras map. 

  13. Are all of the meeting rooms in the same building?
    Yes, in fact all of the meeting rooms are in the Alumni Campus Center.

  14. Where can I make photocopies?
    In the event of a copying emergency, ask at the Conference Registration Desk.

  15. Is there recommended lodging for the conference?
    All hotels listed on our lodging page are recommended! There is a free shuttle from the Airport to the Holiday Inn.
